Abstract

The efficient and secure management of academic information represented an increasing challenge at the Reef Systems Academic Unit, due to the growth in scientific and administrative data generation. To address this need, a technological infrastructure model was designed and implemented to strengthen data safeguarding, operational continuity, and academic collaboration. The model was based on the integration of three main components: a private cloud collaboration platform using open-source software, a redundant network storage system, and a service monitoring tool. The methodology considered design, configuration, installation, and testing under real operating conditions. The results showed improved information access times, reduced failure risks, and early incident detection. The feasibility of a replicable model was demonstrated, contributing to institutional data sovereignty and resilience in academic information management.
