Documentary analysis for decision-making in the field of information and communication technologies

Abstract
In order to guide university processes through plans, policies, and solutions within the framework of a digital governance plan, 81 development plans from units of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México were analyzed. This involved identifying programs and projects utilizing Information and Communication Technologies, in which the authorities of schools, faculties, institutes, and research centers intend to focus their efforts during their respective administrations. The analysis centered on two main dimensions: Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in administration (systems, equipment, and connectivity) and ICT in academia (teaching, research, and dissemination). The analysis highlighted the issues that most concern university units in these dimensions, allowing for correlation of this information with other sources to identify university processes that can be included in the digital governance plan.
